A fireplace is a thing of joy: a focal point to a room, a source of comfort on a chilly night, a gathering spot for the family. Right?  Tired of having houses & families going up in flames the moment you light the fire?  Thanks to Wilf,  Auto Fireplaces are an attempt to make the fireplaces useful in the game. The differences between these and the normal fireplaces are:
1. They won't burn objects placed near them.
2. They will light themselves shortly after it gets dark, and burn until dawn.
In addition, Sims can light the fire in the daytime if they're feeling chilly.
