How do I make objects, skins, walls, floors
1. Make sure that you have typed in the username & password correctly, exactly as provided. Usernames & passwords are case sensitive. For example Mannie is not the same as mannie etc.
2. Make sure that your browser's security settings allow HTTP Authentication. In Internet Explorer click Tools / Internet Options / Security / Internet / Default Level.
3. If you try to download from work, it might be that your network administration has blocked access to non work- related downloads
Q : I am unable to register successfully
A : There are 2 reasons for this:
1) Once your membership expires and you try to sign up with the same
username & password, you will not succeed until your expired
membership has been removed from the list. Make use of a new username
& password .
2) You will not be able to register successfully unless you have made the
online payment after you have filled out the needed info for the register
form and automatically moved to the online payment form.
Q: How do I download and install
A: Use WinZip or ZipMagic to download. A useful hint is to make a separate folder on your Desk Top beforehand.
When the window opens asking where you want this file, download it into this file on your Desk Top. Now, after you have downloaded all your files, open your new folder and double-click on the zip file to install.
Here is where you should install the different files:
Walls: C:/Program Files/ Maxis/The Sims/Game Data/Walls.
Floors: C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/Game Data/Floors.
Skins: C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/Game Data/Skins.
Houses: C:/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/User Data/ houses.
Objects: C/Program Files/Maxis/The Sims/Downloads.( A useful hint to remember here is to make a separate folder for each Web Site from where you download. That way you can keep track of what objects you downloaded from which Sims Site.) This is how to do it:
Right-click on the windows Start and choose EXPLORE.
Go then to C:\ Program Files\MAXIS \ The Sims\Downloads
Right-Click on Downloads and choose NEW FOLDER. Name it the site's name from which you like downloading & in future unzip all your downloads in that site's own folder. This way you know exactly where your different objects are and it makes it easier if you want to get rid of an object if you don't like or need it anymore.
All files go to : Documents / EA Games / The Sims2 / Downloads.
It might be a good idea to place each Sims Site's downloads in it's own file. That way you will know exactly where you different

A: You can go to Dave's Sims Plus to download the SimsZip. This is a neat program that help you install all WinZip files with ease

A : Make very sure that you provide the correct email address when filling out the payment form for subscribing. Also make sure that your email service allows you to receive the needed confirmation emails.
A : I am making objects in all the expansion versions. Next to the objects are an indicator for which one you will need in order for your objects to show up. Read more on icons HERE For Sims 2, you need to have the latest CEP installed
A : If you do not have the expansion packs Living Large, House Party or Hot Date, you are limited to the amount of walls [90] and floors[63].

A : For Sims 1 I am using C4D , PHOTO IMPACT 6 & The Transmogrifier by Don Hopkins for objects. For making screenshots for skins, I use SimPose and meshes mostly from artists Jerome and Fionn
: For Sims 2 I am using Maxis Home Crafter Plus for walls & Floors.
For Furnishing creations, meshes & re-colors : Cinema 4D, Photo Impact , SimPE , CEP & Mesh Tool
